DISC JOCKEY HISTORY

S Unit Soundsystem

Playing music has been my passion, ever since I was 8 years of age. Seeing the enjoyment on the faces of those, who, my music has affected, it has always been up to me to continue the talent that God has given to me. I would always be beating tables and scratching the handles of chairs, that is how much I love music.

Having been a DJ for 15 years and counting, my style of music consists of a variety of blends. I first began my DJ career at the No. 1 hot spot in Central Trinidad, The Tunnel Night Club in 1994, where I stayed for approximately 6 years. After which the biggest event was the clash between 96.1 fm and 98.8 fm, two of the biggest radio stations in Trinidad. Some of the biggest DJ's, Star Child, the late S.L.R, Shot Master J, Rodney Fireball King, Dr. Hyde, Radio Active, Ishmael the demolition man, O Brian Haynes, Chinese Laundry, just to name a few, this was my greatest moment. After the club closed, I joined the No. 1 sound system in South Trinidad, DJ Joy Production. I toured with them for 3 years, at house parties, small events and large fetes. It was with this sound system that I meet my beautiful wife, who is my No. 1 inspiration. In 2003 I played at Backstage Nite Club, where I played for 18 months. From then still perusing my dream, I am rocking the No. 1 Sports Bar in Central Trinidad, Time Out Sports Bar at Couva Southern Main Road.
